About Claudio Gomes.....

Claudio is a Brazilian dance teacher and exciting dancer who started in 1991 in Amsterdam with Lambada,  Zouk, Samba, Pagode and Axé  Eventhough other brazilian danceteachers (like Juliene Braga, Mara Maravilha and Joselito) also where professional in The Netherlands, Claudio Gomes made  brazilian dances populair for his unique styles in dance. For more than 17 years Claudio gave classes at his danceschools in Amsterdam and The Hague. Claudio also was the first danceteacher in The Netherlands who made a professional Salsa dancevideo  for beginners and  advanced students. The video explains different rhythms and styles in Salsa  and Samba and  shows unique movements that you can develop to dance more creative and  elegant. Claudio started with Lambada and then Salsa, Axe, Samba and Zouk. Within a short time he became quitte  popular in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht for his new exciting style of dance. Claudio not only  developed his personal  career, he also offered opportunitys to his students. He actualy stimulated his students and he invited them to participate in national and international tv shows where he was invited for.

Right now Claudio is developing his career on a stabil international level. He travels a lot, organises international workshops and works very enthusiast on his new career with his Zouklovers in Brazil and in  The Netherlands while still continuing teaching Zouk and Samba classes and choreography.  

Cualidad / estilo

It takes a lot more more than creativity to accomplish new goals. Dance is more than perception! Dance is lots of things really. Not only movements and steps, neither just feelings or sensation. It is many hours of practice and maintaining discipline! Claudio uses different elements as you can see in his basic steps and ofcourse he likes the Puertorican influences as well. On top of all that he adds his brazilian power and grace and there it is, tremendous dynamite!

Claudio has a lot of inspiration that helps him to stay critical and to keep his goals on level. He works hard for what he believes in. That is not the endless competion. It is "quality" he believes in (not the jalousy or envie as seen so often on many floors). He wants, to improve constantly. Learning is for a entire lifetime! You do' nt challenge others but you realy challenge yourself. He likes to anticipate in new projects and enjoys working international with new students contstantly. Os povos dos paises baixos (Holanda) e Europa, comecaram a indentificar Claudio Gomes, pelo seu estilo enovador de dancar. Claudio comecou ensinando lambada, logo em seguida incluiu a Salsa em seu programa. Devido a excelente reacao do publico, logo acrescentou outros estilos como: Zouk, bolero, sambas de pagode e de gafieira, forro, como tambem Axé (Lambaerobecs ). Tres cidades foram a base de sua promocao sendo elas: Amsterdam, Haia (Den Haag) e por algum tempo Utrecht. Em Amsterdam e Den Haag foram fundados dois populares Centros de Dancas, onde se da contunuidade a promocao das dancas brasileiras e latinas. Ele criou um estilo completamente novo de dancar, com movimentos sensacionais. As carecteristicas tipicas deste estilo sao, a sensualidade e temperamento. "Dancar e uma arte, e arte e uma constante criacao".  Como dancar e uma arte, e muito importante ser criativo, mantendo sempre a mente aberta para novos conhecimentos. Para se criar, nao acredita ser possivel realizar isoladamente. Quando viaja procura ver,  experimentar e aprender o maximo possivel. E possivel aprender a todo momento, e com todos. O que e convertido depois em inspiracao, fator importantissimo para sua propria auto confianca profissional. Em seu estilo de dancar Salsa, Claudio usa varios elementos cubanos como cassino, elementos colombianos, portorriquenhos entre outros, deixando bem claro, sua forte influencia brasileira.
